Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall”
A famous theologian wrote we cannot throw away our troubles and run away from our problems. But we can get rid of the anxiety and worries that disturb our peace. In the Sermon on the Mount, it is said God cares for us as He cares for the lilies of the field and sparrows of the air. There is nobody in this world that can carry our burden. Only the Almighty can help us. A fisherman must cast all of the net into the sea to catch fish. Likewise if you do not throw all of your burdens to the Lord, you cannot expect a great catch of the blessing. Jesus wanted the disciples to have faith instead of fear and panic when they faced storms in their life. Apostle Paul prayed three times for God to remove the thorn from his life. God comforted him by promising His grace in his weakness. His grace is sufficient for us in our troubles and sickness. A woman, who had 12 years of issues of blood in her life, spent all her living seeking help from men. None could lift her terrible burden from her life. She lost everything for her sickness. When she brought her burden to Jesus as her last resort, she was healed.
Scripture says He will never let the righteous fall. Matthew 6:33 says if you seek the kingdom of God first and live righteously, He will give you everything you need. Let us ponder on what our priorities should be; this world or the kingdom of God. So this promise in Mathew 6:33 is conditional. We should put all our faith in God for a miracle, not in human beings. There is no one like our God among all the wise men of the nations and in all their kingdoms and His name is mighty in power (Jeremiah 10:7). “Little faith will bring your souls to heaven, but great faith will bring heaven to your souls”.Charls H. Spurgeon.
