The Christian life is one of FAITH. This is true from beginning to end. The righteousness of God revealed from FAITH to FAITH.[Romans1:17] The apostle Paul had written in Galatians 2:20.." I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by Faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up for me''. Yes, Paul had been crucified with Christ when he turned to him. Paul said "Romans 6:4..We also should WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE. and In 2 Cor 5:7 he states For we walk by faith not by sight. Yes "THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH'' [Habakkuk 2:4,Romans1:17,Galatians 3:11,Hebrews 10:38],and this is true any way that we looks at it.
The Christian life is a life of FAITH, and until we have learned to trust the LORD in every way we have not entered in to the fullness of Our religion, which is called "THE FAITH"
In this article we wish to consider "THE LIFE OF FAITH" from three perspectives:
1. The sin problem
2. Material Things
3. The experience in living
THE SIN PROBLEM
The problem of indwelling sin, The sin and death problems are Universal. Ecclesiastes 7:20..''Indeed there is not a righteous man on earth ,who continually does good and who never sins.''
Bible says [Hebrews 2:15] Jesus came to "deliver them who through fear of death were all their life time subject to bondage, and if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and the blood of JESUS His Son to cleanse us from all unrighteousness'' . We can serve God in newness of life. every time our eyes fixed upon the Lord Jesus Christ victorious living is assured.
MATERIAL THINGS
Man is a dual personality. an eternal spirit clothed with a material body .The material body is temporal. In this body we live and move and have our being in our time spent up on this earth. Galatians 5:17.."For the flesh sets its desire against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh. For these are in opposition to one another so that you may not do things that you please.''
The life of Faith demands that we understand and maintain the proper relationship between material and spiritual things. We must ever keep the material in the proper perspective as Paul said" while we look not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal''.
The LORD JESUS emphatically stated, [Mathew 6:24] "YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON'' In the Aramaic word 'Mammon'' This corresponds with what Paul says in Ephesians 5:5 and Colossians 3:5 where he labels' 'covetousness'' as idolatry; it means to worship that which is seen. This matter of hating one and loving the other could be literally true. In your life of FAITH ever keep, Mathew 6:33.."But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. and all these things will be added to you''
THE EXPERIENCES IN LIVING
Life is filled with all kinds of experiences both 'GOOD' and 'BAD' but over all we should always remember that we live in a world of sin and death [Romans 8:22,23] Our souls may have been redeemed but the body hasn't. we still live in a world of sin and death [Romans 3:23] As we live the LIFE OF FAITH ,things that happen are not with out significance. The bottom line is the GLORY OF GOD[1cor10:31].[For the earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains] Apostle Paul says-All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify Romans 8:28..is a key scripture to keep in mind as we live the LIFE OF FAITH .
it reads,’ And we know that all things work together for good to them who love God. to them who are called according to his purpose'' it is reasonable to believe that the ''good'' will always ''work together for good''. As we face the experiences of life, we need to keep the right attitude[James1:2-5]. As our faith is being tried, we are to pray for wisdom to be able to see the spiritual good that can come from this, one spiritual result of trials, as he points out here is the learning of patience. Our lives are lived in the context of God's Love.
As we close out this point and this article. Listen to what Apostle James says [James 4:13-15] ..''Instead, you ought to say. If the Lord will we will live and also do this or that''. Whether it involves material pursuits, spirituals pursuits...anything, what we plan and what we do should always be conditioned with the words.’ if the Lord will''.-Any and everything in our lives has purpose and meaning in relation to GOD .''For in him we live and move and exist'' [Acts17:28]. AMEN
