Second coming of Jesus Christ is a much awaited event. Excitement of whole world, especially born again Christians who believes in the 2nd coming of Jesus, continues till this day. Will this happen or not?
This question was raised by the disciples themselves to Jesus Christ. Mathew 24:3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things happen, and what {will be} the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?
Jesus replied: Mathew 24:6-7 You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for {those things} must take place, but {that} is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.
Mathew 24:9 Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.
Present day happenings:
- Terrorist attacks, new ISIS killings,
- Rumors of Wars; (Russia v/s Ukraine; India v/s Pakistan; Israel v/s Palestine),
- Nations against Nations (Separatist movement within the country viz. Ireland, Scotland/UK, Kurds in Turkey, Sri Lanka, India;
- Kingdom against Kingdom (Egypt, Syria, Bahrain, Libya),
- famines (Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya),
- pestilences (HIV, Ebola),
- earthquakes (Gujrat, Japan).
Let us take one by one of the above signs and co-relating to present day happenings:
Rumors of Wars
Is it not true that people are fed up for quite some time about the war like situation in East European countries, Asia, Middle East, and Africa. All are very nervous to know what will happen, will this turnout to be a world war III, similarly, recent developments at the border line between India v/s Pakistan & India v/s China, will it be a full blown war, and will they use "N" weapons and so on.
Nations rising against Nations
We are aware of what happened between Ireland and Britain. Ireland wanted separate country, so also Scotland. How many people killed in this separatist (ETA) movement in Ireland? Recently we saw Scots had their referendum on whether to continue with Britain or to have separate state. Kurds rebelling against Turkey, demanding Kurdistan, Russia against Ukraine. These are only very few instances.
Kingdom against kingdom
People revolted against the ruler of Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, Syria. Many said, it was the scheme of US to destabilize Muslim world, and some said US is trying to democratize the Arab world by over-throwing rulers. Fact is that, these are prophesized 2000 years back. This will happen; no one can change the direction of the world that was set by Almighty God.
The internal uprising in Russia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, China, and India are well known facts to all of us. When all these are happening around us we should understand that the 2nd coming of Jesus is around the corner, and, what we are reading in the newspaper and watching in TV channels are the signs of fulfillment of scriptures.
Mathew 24:13-14 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Let us take a case study to prove that Bible is true:
2000 years back, Bible quoted that, Israel will be wiped out from the map of the earth. Mathew 24:2 And He said to them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.
Bible also says, Israelites will migrate back to Israel and build their own country. In this context Jesus quoted a parable. Mathew Chapter 24:32-33 Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, {right} at the door.
In this parable, Jesus referred Israel with fig tree. When fig tree puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. What he means is, when you see Israel puts forth its leaves, in other words when they migrate back and re-build their country, you know that summer is near, means He is near at the door.
Do you believe what Bible said 2000 years back, had been fulfilled in 1948? On 14 May 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the Executive Head of the Zionist Organization declared "the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Israel, to be known as the State of Israel. Yes, that’s when the country was founded and is called Israel. There was a mass migration of Israelites (between 1949 & 1958) almost 2 million Israelites relocated to Israel from all over the world. Bible says sons of Israel will come from all corners of the world, some by sea, some by land and some by air. Remember, when Bible said by air, there were no aero planes at that time. This was written 2000 year back, when Great Great Grand fathers' of Wright Brothers were not even born. But that happened, and, is ongoing till this date, all most all of them are arriving by Air.
Not only this, Bible also clearly talks about the Philistines. The ongoing rift between Philistines & Israel is not 20th century development. This was proclaimed 2000 years back in Bible.
1 Samuel 7:14 The cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even to Gath; and Israel delivered their territory from the hand of the Philistines. So there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.
So if we are thinking that UN or United States are going to find an amicable solution the present situation, we are mistaken. That will never happen. Don't blame either party for the mess. All these are the signs of fulfillment of scriptures.
Countries and Nations are working overtime to control the deterioration of world peace, because, they believe they can bring in lasting solution, least they know that these are to happen, no one can change the will of God. No one on this earth can avoid such situations from happening, nor can any change the destiny.
